Morris Signs with Giants

Matt Morris is now officially an ex-Cardinal. The right handed pitcher, who played his entire season in St. Louis, signed a three-year deal with the Giants. Its worth somewhere between $24-27 million.Morris was 14-10 last season, with a 4.11 ERA. He broke into the majors with the Cardinals in 1997, going 12-7. He was 7-5 in 1998, before going down with an elbow injury. He had to undergo Tommy John surgery and didn’t return until the 2000 season. In 2001, he went 22-8.
