Educators Gather to Recommend Revised MAP Standards

December 6, 2005 By admin

Dozens of Missouri educators have gathered at Osage Beach for a three-day meeting on revising standards for the Missouri Assessment Program – or MAP – tests. Jim Morris with the State Education Department says there will be four levels in the MAP system next year – Below Basic, Basic, Proficient, and Advanced – with expanded testing. The recommendations coming out of this meeting will be submitted to the State Board of Education next month for possible adoption.
