Six regional working groups will start looking at the State Transportation Department’s approach to how it handles issues, from road building to freight handling, in the future. MoDOT’s Eric Curtit, the coordinator for the Missouri Advance Planning – or MAP – initiative, says this series of meetings differs from last Spring’s planning sessions on how to spend Amendment Three money. Curtit says the six regional groups will hold three public meetings before coming together for a final session sometime next year. The groups already met once earlier this Fall – that time behind closed doors.
