Springfield Woman Chosen as Missouri’s Miss USA Contestant

Missouri’s candidate for the Miss USA contest has been picked. She’s Springfield television weather reporter Kristi Capel, who gets a four-year scholarship to Lindenwood University in St. Charles. She has beaten 60 other contestants, who were judged in swimsuit and evening gown appearance, and on the basis of interviews.
