Advice Offered for Prescription Drug Program

December 5, 2005 By admin Leave a Comment

Senior citizens and their families are being bombarded by ads about the new federal Medicare prescription drug benefit which goes into effect in the New Year. But many seniors are confused about how they should proceed. Osage Beach internist Doctor Grant Barnum says that while choosing the right plan will be important, it is important to at least choose any plan soon. Doctor Barnum says seniors who sign up for one plan will have flexibility to change plans later on. Based on that, he says it’s more important to choose any plan, at this stage, than to choose the right plan. For more information, log onto www.medicare.gov or call 1-800-MEDICARE.
