Federal Judge Scott Wright has allowed Missouri’s law that requires a 24-hour wait before having an abortion to take effect, though he did continue a ban on part of the law. Wright revised his preliminary injunction in accordance with a 8th US Circuit Court of Appeals ruling that determined Wright went too far in his injunction issued in 2004. Wright’s revised injunction orders doctors to inform patients about the nature of an abortion proceeding 24 hours before the operation, except for emergencies.
