Special Elections Called to Fill Vacancies in Legislature

November 29, 2005 By admin Leave a Comment

Governor Matt Blunt has called special elections to fill two vacancies in the Legislature. A House seat in southwest Missouri was left vacant when former Representative Jack Goodman won election to the State Senate and moved to that chamber. In addition, a Senate seat in St. Louis County is open following the resignation of Senator John Dolan, who left to take a position as a lobbyist. The special election for the open House seat will be held on February 7th, while the special voting for the open Senate seat is scheduled for April 4th.
