The 2nd ranked Texas Longhorns overcame an eight-point deficit in the second half to beat Iowa 68-59 in the championship game of the Guardians’ Classic. With about 12 minutes to go in the second half, Iowa led 47-39. After that Texas took over.

The Longhorns went on a 13-4 lead and took a 52-51 lead, their first advantage since early in the first half.

LaMarcus Aldridge led the way for TU with 18 points and 10 rebounds, while Adam Haluska paced the Hawkeyes with 23 points.
