KC Downtown Ballpark Proposal Suffers Setback

Kansas City hopes for a downtown ballpark have taken a serious blow. The Jackson County Legislature says no county money will be used to build it. The County Legislature says the only county funds to be spent on Major League Baseball will be spent at Kauffman Stadium. The county hopes for a special election in April to raise money to overhaul Kauffman Stadium, where the Royals play and Arrowhead Stadium, the home of the Chiefs.
