Missouri State Considering How Many Sports to Have

Missouri State University in Springfield is considering whether it is too involved in intercollegiate athletics.A special committee is to report in a week on whether the university sponsors too many sports. Missouri State has 21 athletic programs that promote competition in 18 sports. That’s more than any other school in the Missouri Valley Conference. The committee is to determine if the school is trying to stretch its limited resources too far in intercollegiate athletics.
