American Legion Official Urges Support of Troops

November 14, 2005 By admin Leave a Comment

A state official with the American Legion urged a Veterans Day gathering in St. Louis to honor the sacrifice made by American soldiers in previous wars by supporting the troops now in the Gulf. Senior Vice Commander David Jennemann, Jr. of the American Legion in Missouri told those gathered at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery that a small, but occasionally loud, voice of protest against the current fighting served no good purpose. He added that it is time to be united in support of our mission. Jennemann said that once the nation wins the war, there will be plenty of time to quarrel as to what the country could have done better.
