KSHB Television in Kansas City is reporting that Priest Holmes may retire as early as tomorrow. The station is basing its report on information from a “high level source”. According to the report, doctors have found a lump of some sort on his spine and a hit could leave him paralyzed. Over the weekend the Kansas City Star reported that Holmes missed practice last week while visiting a spine specialist in California. On October 30, Holmes was forced to leave the game against the Chargers after a helmet-to-helmet collision with Shawne Merriman. Originally it looked like the only thing he had to overcome was mild head trauma.The chiefs are not commenting on the report. Chiefs’ linebacker. Sean Barber will return to the practice field Wednesday for the first time since tearing an ACL last season.
