The injury bug continues to bite the St. Louis Blues. Center Doug Weight won’t be available when the Blues face the Blackhawks on Wednesday night. He suffered an injury to his head in Saturday’s loss to the Kings, but there still hasn’t been any public acknowledgement of what exactly the injury is.

Also gone on Wednesday will be defenseman Christian Backman who underwent an MRI and learned that he has torn the labrum of his left shoulder. He’ll be inactive for at least two weeks.

In response to the injuries, the Blues have recalled forwards Peter Sejna and Lee Stempniak from Peoria.

The Blues were already without Keith Tkachuk who has three broken ribs and Dallas Drake, who is serving a two-game suspension.
