You meet them at the office, at church, on your front porch – shool children who are peddling candy or popcorn or wrapping paper to finance this or that school project or trip. The state PTA thinks children should not be doing that. But Missouri PTA President Kathy Nevans says the amount of money that can be raised is a strong incentive to send the kids out. Nevans says parents must be involved with their children when they are raising funds for school or clubs – as a public safety issue.
