Springfield’s Wonders of Wildlife hunting and fishing museum is going to benefit from a $6.75-Million donation that will put the museum on solid financial footing. The gift comes from Bass Pro Shops, Tracker Marine, and Big Cedar Lodge – companies owned by John L. Morris, the man who conceived the non-profit Wonders of Wildlife. The museum shares space with the original store and national headquarters of Bass Pro Shops. The gift will be paid over five years. It will include one-million dollars a year for five years to reduce the museum’s overall debt and a quarter-million dollars a year for five years to help fund an educational outreach program.
