It wasn’t easy, but the eighth-ranked MU volleyball team was able to leave Manhattan, Kansas with its first win there since 1993. After dropping the first two games 28-30 and 26-30, Mizzou bounced back to win the final three games 30-23, 30-25 and 15-11. It was only the second time this season that MU (16-2, 10-2 Big 12) had to play five games in a match. The last time it happened, October 1, they beat Texas Tech.

It was a huge night for sophomore Na Yang, who tied a career high and led the Tigers with 21 kills. Senior Shen Danru had 17 kills, three service aces, 19 digs and four blocks. She, Lindsey Hunter and Jessica Vander Kooi recorded double-doubles.

MU returns to the Hearnes Center on Saturday night to take on Colorado.
