Chiefs Game Moved To Friday Because Of Hurricane

October 21, 2005 By admin Leave a Comment

The threat of Hurricane Wilma forced the NFL to move the Chiefs and Dolphins game in Miami from Sunday to Friday night at 6PM. The Chiefs will depart Monday morning and plan to return to Kansas City no more than two hours after the game’s conclusion.

The NFL considered moving the game to either Atlanta Saturday or Kansas City on Sunday, but passed on those options.

This marks the first time the Chiefs have played on a Friday since October of 1964. The team not only had to change travel plans, but they altered their practice schedule too. Thursday is normally a fully padded practice, instead it was non-padded.
