Blues Fall To Predators in Shootout

October 21, 2005 By admin Leave a Comment

The Blues couldn’t capitalize on an early lead and eventually fell 3-2 to the Predators in a shootout in Nashville Thursday night. Eric Brewer’s goal at the 18:54 mark of the first period tied the Blues with the Predators.

Dean McAmmond’s goal at the 8:54 gave St. Louis a 2-1 lead. Nashville tied the game at 2-2 when Jeremy Stevenson scored his first goal of the season, three minutes into the third period.

After a scoreless overtime period, the game moved to the new shootout to decide games and the Predators won it decidedly as Steve Sullivan and Marek Zidlicky both scored on Blues goaltender Patrick Lalime. Nashville goalie Tomas Vokoun stopped shots by Petr Cajanek and Doug Weight.

The Blues fell to 2-4-1 in their first shootout of the season, while Nasvhille improved to 6-0.
