Late Weight Goal Lifts Blues

The St. Louis Blues earned their second win of the season in dramatic fashion, topping the Mighty Ducks at hoe 3-2. The Blues and Ducks were tied at 2-2, when an Eric Brewer shot was tipped in by Doug Weight with 53 seconds to go in the game.

Earlier in the game, St. Louis took a 2-1 lead thanks to power play goals from Christian Backman and Dean McAmmond. In the net, Patrick Lalime earned his second win of the season by stopping 27 shots on goal.

Anaheim goaltender Jean-Sebastien Giguere was forced to leave the game with a groin strain at the 16:55 mar of the third period.

The win upped St. Louis record to 2-4 on the season.
