Missouri is getting a $400,000 federal grant to provide workforce counseling for evacuees from Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Missouri Department of Economic Development Spokesman Paul Sloca says the money will be used to set up counseling services in St. Louis, Kansas City, Springfield, and Cape Girardeau. The Red Cross estimates nearly 5,500 evacuees settled in St. Louis, 4,000 in Kansas City, 3,200 in Springfield, and 900 in Cape Girardeau, with anotehr 2,000 scattered throughout the rest of the state.
