There haven’t been many negative moments for the Missouri volleyball team. The program is enjoying its best season ever, climbing as high as seventh nationally. Even their loss to top-ranked Nebraska last week was a close match. However, MU felt the sting of their first sweep of the season, losing to 18th ranked Texas 28-30, 27-30, and 22-30.

MU’s .211 hitting percentage against the Longhorns was their lowest of the season. The loss snapped a five-match road winning streak. They fell to 12-2 on the season and 6-2 in the Big 12.

There was one positive note for the Tigers, however. Senior Shen Danru became MU’s all-time leader in kills—she has 1,484 after Wednesday’s match.

Up next is a home match against KU Saturday night.
