A 30-year sentence has been handed to the man who murdered Jackson County Sports Authority Director John Friedman. 19-year-old Tyrone Tucker, who was 17 at the time of the killing, was turned in by his own mother who – according to testimony – used the reward money to buy drugs. Tucker used a gun to try to rob Friedmann at a Kansas City car wash in December of 2003. A struggle ensued and Friedmann was shot. He died two weeks later.
