Mark Martin took the checkered flag at Sunday’s NASCAR event at Kansas Speedway, while Greg Biffle took second and Columbia native Carl Edwards was third. Points’ leader Tony Stewart finished in four and Matt Kenseth rounded out the top five.

St. Louis native Rusty Wallace was seventh, Fenton native Ken Schrader finished 17th, Joplin’s Jamie McMurray was 18th and St. Louis native Mike Wallace was 35th.

Both Rusty Wallace and Edwards are in the chase for the championship, though neither driver moved up in the standings on Sunday. Wallace dropped from third to fourth, while Edwards remained steady at sixth place. Wallace trails Stewart by 90 points and Edwards is 95 points back with six races to go.
