A man once convicted of killing his wife and injuring four other people at a divorce hearing at the St. Louis County Courthouse in Clayton in 1992 will stand trial again on the murder charges in June. The State Supreme Court ruled that Kenneth Baumruk should get a new trial, because the trial judge allowed his first trial to be held in the courthouse in which the shootings took place. The Supreme Court stated that holding the trial in the courthouse in which the deaths occurred created a prejudicial atmosphere that robbed Baumruk of the right to a fair trial. A judge has ruled Baumruk mentally competent to stand trial again and has set a June 21st trial date.
