A St. Louis high school senior has been charged with murder, rape, and arson in the death of a junior found dead Friday inside a burning SUV along a street in St. Louis County. 17-year-old Alexander Stirlen, who goes to Lindbergh High School, has been charged in the death of 16-year-old Erin Mace. Police have yet to release the cause of Mace’s death. Hunters Sunday found items believed to be evidence in the crime across the Mississippi River in Illinois. Police say Stirlen has been cooperating in the investigation.
