The St. Louis Blues lost to the Dallas Stars 3-1 on Tuesday night, despite out-shooting Dallas. The Blues had 19 shots on goal compared to the Stars’ 19 shots on goal.

Down 2-0 in the second period, the Blues scored their only goal of the game, when Eric Brewer made good on a power player.

The story for the Blues, however, didn’t have anything to do with the final score. Earlier in the day, assistant captain Doug Weight injured his shoulder during the morning skate. He sublexed his left shoulder while working on face-offs. He’s expected to miss 7-14 days.

Fellow assistant captain Barret Jackman suffered a slight separation in his left shoulder in the first period of the game. He is also expected to miss 7-14 days.
