Carnahan Criticism Rejected By Review Commission Official

September 26, 2005 By admin Leave a Comment

Secretary of State Robin Carnahan’s criticism of Governor Matt Blunt’s State Government Review Commission is dismissed by a Commission Co-Chairman. Warren Erdman, Vice President of Kansas City Southern, says consideration of moving the Securities Division from her office to a new department arose from discussion about whether the regulation of financial services should be consolidated. And he notes the Commission welcomed her testimony against the proposal. The Commission approved consolidation in a narrow vote. Erdman denies politics play a role in that decision.
