Junior linebacker David Richard has decided to leave the Missouri football team. Richard, who was listed as a starter because of Marcus Bacon’s DWI arrest after the team’s first game, had only one tackle in three games this season.
Richard, who was a star running back and linebacker at Hazelwood East High School in the St. Louis area, came to MU after playing one season at Michigan St. He was the Spartans’ leading rusher his freshman year.
Bacon is expected to move back into the starting spot because of Richard’s departure.
