Blunt Says Missouri Ready to Deal With Rita Fallout

September 22, 2005 By admin Leave a Comment

As Hurricane Rita heads for the Gulf Coast, Louisiana’s Governor is calling on residents of her state to head North to avoid the strong winds and rain headed Louisiana’s way. That means some people fleeing the Bayou State could be headed to Missouri. Governor Matt Blunt says Missouri is ready to help, adding we’ll be ready to deal with whatever comes our way. Blunt says he has not heard from Louisiana Governor Kathleen Blanco on any needs that state might have.
