The Royals are one defeat away from securing their third 100-loss season in the last four years, after falling 11-0 to the Indians on Sunday in Cleveland.

Jose Lima dropped to 5-16, by allowing eight of those runs off nine hits in four complete innings of work. Travis Hafner hit his 26th home run of the season to give Cleveland a 2-0 lead. It stayed 2-0, until Lima was nailed for five runs in the fourth inning. It was caped by a three run homer by Jhonny Peralta, who nailed his 22nd of the season.

Lima has allowed 30 home runs this season, which is the fourth-most in the American League and seventh-most in the majors this season.

Indians’ starter C.C. Sabathia lasted eight innings and allowed no runs and just five base hits, with eight strikeouts.
