Northwest Missouri State University is replacing the desk top computers it provides to each student in its dormitories – with new laptops. Northwest has been providing students with computers for several years. This year it is buying three-thousand laptops. They’re not free. Students will pay $45 more each semester in housing fees. The school also charges a technology fee. But even with that, students will pay about thirty percent of the retail value of each computer.
