Members of State Highway Patrol Helping in Gulf

September 12, 2005 By admin Leave a Comment

Fifty Missouri State Highway Patrol officers and six communication experts from the Patrol are in Mississippi, helping out in law enforcement efforts in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. The group left Missouri on Friday. Captain Robert Bloomberg works out of the Patrol headquarters in Jefferson City, in the Gaming Division. He’s one of the task force commanders for the group. He said they loaded the trucks and Patrol cars full of supplies for any eventuality. And, this group actually has enough supplies for at least five days. The group will be in Mississippi for at least the next two weeks, doing whatever they’re asked.
