Court Tosses Missouri’s National Guard Lawsuit

September 7, 2005 By admin Leave a Comment

A federal judge has tossed out Missouri’s lawsuit to stop the Pentagon from closing an Air National Guard unit in St. Louis. Governor Matt Blunt says this does not mean the shutdown of the 131st Fighter Wing based at Lambert-St. Louis Airport is a done deal – It only means the time for this case has not yet come because the President and Congress have not signed off on a course of action. Blunt says the time will come because there is clearly a danger that the 131st will be pulled away from Missouri, which he calls harmful to homeland security.
