Championship boxing is returning to the Savvis Center in St. Louis. It was announced on Tuesday that Don King Productions are bringing the WBA World Cruiserweight Championship and the WBO Junior Middleweight Championship bouts to town on September 30.

The WBA Cruiserweight belt is currently vacant and two-time WBA champion Virgil “Quicksilver” Hill (49-5) of Williston, N.D. will take on undefeated Valery Brudov (30-0) of Russia.

In the under card, WBO Junior Middleweight champ Daniel “El Pillin” Santos (29-2) of Puerto Rico will defend his belt against Joe Wyatt (21-0) of Pittsburgh.

In February, an all-time attendance record for an indoor boxing event was set at the Savvis Center when St. Louis native Cory Spinks was knocked out by Zab Judah in the undisputed welterweight championship. Over 22,000 fans attended the match.
