The Missouri linebacker corps will be short-handed as they enter Saturday’s home opener against New Mexico. Starter Marcus Bacon has been indefinitely suspended from the team for reasons the athletic department wouldn’t elaborate on. However, it is known that Bacon was arrested over the weekend on a drunken driving charge.

Bacon may be replaced by David Richard, who is behind him in the depth chart. Bacon recorded eight tackles and 1.5 sacks against Arkansas St. in MU’s 44-17 season-opening win.
