Five wrongful death lawsuits have been filed by relatives of five people killed in a traffic crash near Six Flags Amusement park in St. Louis County last month. The five were killed when an truck loaded with gravel did not slow down as traffic in front of it slowed. The suits charge the driver, the company that owned the truck and five other defendants – including the State Highway and Transportation Department and the city of Eureka. The lawsuit says the Transportation Department built an exit ramp that’s dangerous and the city of Eureka did not properly control traffic on the ramp.
