Special Session of Legislature Beginning at Capitol

September 6, 2005 By admin Leave a Comment

State lawmakers come back a week earlier than usual in September to do some special work on orders from Governor Matt Blunt. The special session starts at mid-day today, about a week before the scheduled start of the regular veto session. He hopes the work of the special session can be done by the end of next week. He wants lawmakers to pass abortion-related legislation that didn’t make it in the Spring. And, he wants lawmakers to correct some mistakes they made in some bills that did pass.
