Green Practicing Again, Should Play Sunday

September 6, 2005 By admin Leave a Comment

The Kansas City Chiefs welcomed Trent Green back to practice on Monday about a week after having minor surgery to open an artery in his left leg. Before the procedure Green was suffering numbness in the leg and had to leave a pre-season game against the Seahawks. He also missed last Friday’s pre-season finale against the Rams.

Despite the setback, head coach Dick Vermeil indicated yesterday that Green will play in the Chiefs season-opener against the Jets on Sunday.

Green has yet to miss a game since joining the Chiefs in 2001.
