The St. Louis Rams will do their part to help victims of Hurricane Katrina. Before Friday’s pre-season finale with the Chiefs, Rams volunteers will be collecting cash donations, which will be handed over to the Red Cross.

The drive go from 7AM-7PM, with the help of the wives of Rams’ players and cheerleaders. At five o’clock, volunteers will take donations at the entrance of the dome. But fans and passersby won’t be the only ones putting money in the hat. A locker room collection will be taken before the game from the players.

Rams spokesperson Molly Higgins said the they aren’t sure how much money they’ll raise Friday, saying “We don’t have any estimates, but we’re hoping that St. Louis is going to be extremely generous and open their pockets to help these folks out. “
