MoDOT Looks for ways to Work "Better, Faster, Cheaper"

August 23, 2005 By admin Leave a Comment

The State Transportation Department holds a meeting today to look for ways of designing, building, and maintaining Missouri’s transportation system better, faster, and cheaper. The Columbia gathering, billed as the “Partnering for Innovative Efficiency” meeting, involves officials from MoDOT and other government agencies. But Transportation Director Pete Rahn says contractors, vendors, suppliers, and others from the private sector are also taking part. Rahn says the welcome mat is out for any suggestions that will improve performance, reduce costs, and get the work done quickly. He says this exercise is an indication of the direction in which MoDOT is headed.
