State Auditor Claire McCaskill says too many rightful parents still aren’t getting all the money they are owed through child support. McCaskill says the third audit her office has conducted in six years has disclosed the state keeps dragging its feet on getting child support into the hands of the parents who deserve it. The audit says the Family Support Division held more than $4-Million. And, McCaskill says the resources are there to distribute the money. She says the Division has agreed with most of the recommendations from the audit and has begun to experiment with electronic payment cards to reduce the money it is holding due to invalid addresses.
