PSC Chairman Warns of Soaring Natural Gas Prices

The head of the Public Service Commission says we’ll face high heating bills this winter, maybe record ones if we have abnormally cold weather. And, PSC Chairman Jeff Davis says the Commission can’t do much about it. The Commission cannot regulate the wholesale prices utilities have to pay gas distributors. He says the price for September natural gas on the futures market has gone up 38 percent in about six weeks.
