Education Commissioner Looks Forward to Return to Classes

August 14, 2005 By admin Leave a Comment

Students in most of Missouri’s 524 public school districts return to classes this week and next. And, the State Education Commissioner has high hopes for a great school year. Education Commissioner Kent King says improved facilities are a part of the landscape in many schools. And, he credits voter approval of tax levies and bond issues for those upgrades. He says what’s really great about this time of year is that everyone gets a fresh start. King adds the first few days of every school year raise logistical concerns for school administrators – making sure text books and supplies are in the schools, and buses are running on schedule.
