The Royals made franchise history on Wednesday night. Just not the good kind. Grady Sizemore hit a grand slam and added an RBI single, leading Cleveland to a 6-1 win over Kansas City. The loss extends the Royals’ losing streak to 12 games, matching the franchise record set in 1997. Zack Greinke lost his major-league leading 14th game. He allowed four runs on seven hits in 4 1/3 innings. David Dejesus broke out of a 1-for-32 slump with a two-hit performance. He drove in Kansas City’s only run with an RBI double in the third. The Royals now own the longest losing streak in the majors this year. They haven’t won since beating the White Sox on July 27.
