The Springfield Cardinals lost to the Frisco RoughRiders 7-2 on Monday night, blowing a 2-0 lead. Shaun Boyd led the game off with a double and Papo Bolivar followed up wit ha single to drive in Boyd for a 1-0 Springfield advantage.

In the third, the Cardinals went up 2-0 when Travis Hanson singled in Tyler Minges, but that lead didn’t last long.

Frisco went on a three-run rally in the bottom half of the third innings. Springfield starting pitcher Jordan Pals allowed a lead off home run to Mike Nickeas, then loaded the bases. He allowed the game-tying run when he balked and Adam Fox scored. A fielding error by Hanson allowed the RoughRiders to re-load the bases. Vince Sinisi then stole home to give the RoughRiders the lead for good.

Pals got the loss and fell to 5-10 on the season.
