Gonzalez Out With Sore Foot

August 8, 2005 By admin Leave a Comment

The timeframe isn’t exact, but Chiefs Pro-Bowl tight end Tony Gonzalez will miss “a little time” according to head coach Dick Vermeil. Gonzalez was on crutches at Sunday’s practice in River Falls, Wisconsin after tweaking a sore foot on Saturday. X-rays didn’t show a break in the foot that Gonzalez had surgery on during the off-season.

Gonzalez set an NFL record for tight ends with 102 receptions last season.

His back up Kris Wilson, who missed all of the 2004 season, practiced after sitting out with a groin injury on Saturday.
