Polis Bishop Dedicates New Church in St. Louis

The Bishop of Lublin, Poland has dedicated a new official Polish Catholich Church in the St. Louis Archdiocese. Bishop Ryszard Karpinski is the leader of Polish Catholics outside Poland. He was invited to St. Louis by Archbishop Raymond Burkey, who has been feuding with the parishoners of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church. Burke invited Karpinski to St. Louis to dedicate St. Agatha Church as the new official polish church in the Archdiocese. St. Stanislaus refuses to give up its assets to the Archdiocese. Karpinski has met with officials at St. Stanislaus. A spokesman for St. Stanislaus says the meeting was frank and polite, but neither sid will discuss specifics.
