Temperatures across the state edge again toward triple digits, prompting state Health Department officials to warn residents about heat exhaustion…and possibly even heat stroke. Brian Quinn with the State Health Department says it’s important to take breaks and drink lots of water on days like these. It appears the hot spot in the state is in the middle, as Columbia checks in at 100. It’s bracketed by 99 degrees in St. Louis and 96 in Kansas City. Springfield reports a high today of 97. It’s 94 in St. Joseph, 95 in southeast Missouri’s Cape Girardeau.
