The kids from the University of Missouri-Rolla are racing with the sun again. This year’s North American Solar Challenge race is underway with the Solar Miner Five running fourth after the first day. Some mechanical problems on the first day out put the UMR team car a close fourth. This year’s race is from Austin, Texas to Calgary in Canada. The University of Missouri-Rolla won the event the last time it was run, two years ago.
