Preliminary Autopsy on Football Player Inconclusive

July 15, 2005 By admin Leave a Comment

The death of University of Missouri football player Aaron O’Neal was not the result of trauma, foul play or infection, according to the Boone County Medical Examiner. Valerie Rao has told reporters that those three possible causes of death have all been ruled out, but a complete autopsy won’t be complete until toxicology tests can be run. Results from those tests won’t be available for at least six weeks. O’Neal died a few hours after collapsing at voluntary work out session in shorts and a t-shirt. Visitation for O’Neal will be Sunday afternoon in Hazelwood, Missouri. The funeral is scheduled for Monday morning in St. Louis. O’Neal was 19.
